Outlook integration with Sharepoint, is not bad, but it could be better. Sharepoint Event and Contact lists has a decent integration in Sharepoint, but when I create a new customized list, I don´t have any link to Outlook.
Thinking about this, I need to be able to pass data of my customized forms in outlook to sharepoint and viceversa.
Working arround the problem, I have created a Outlook form with such fields that one of my sharepoint list, now the problem is how to send this form data from Outlook to Sharepoint. After creating the form the only thing that it knew clearly it was that it had to use the Web services of sharepoint to send the data.
csegPSSearch is a webpart to include custom web sharepoint queries in your portal in a easy way. First, you need to be familiarized with the PSSearch syntax (Sharepoint query syntax)
properties
PSSearch Query: Your custom query.
XSL: The xsl to render the results.
MaxRows: Maximun number of rows to return by the query.
DebugXML: If checked show the xml results.
DebugQuery: Show the query.
The query has an special value %TEXT% that it can be replaced if the webpart is connected to another webpart with a cell provider interface. Included with this webpart there is a simple webpart with a input box provider interface called csegInputBoxProvider. You can connect both webparts to make your custom queries.
I am doing a Pocket PC application to show in the today screen the list content of some lists of my sharepoint server and update it each x minuts.
Before beginning the development I have made a small example that is interesting similarity to me to place here with the source code since it can be interesant for other developers.
This simple application, needs the user credentials and the direction of the web service to use, shows all lists available and later it shows the content of the list selected in a datagrid.
I have a Palm m505. It’s a great little device. I use it for keeping track of my schedule, contacts, and to-do lists. I also use it to read e-books and play games. I’ve had it for about a year now, and I’m still finding new uses for it. I’ve even written a few programs for it. It’s amazing how much you can do with such a small device. I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to keep track of their schedule, contacts, and to-do lists. It’s a great little device.
